Alyson graduated from West Virginia University with a Bachelor's of Science in Wildlife and Fisheries Resources and a minor in Conservation Ecology. Her early career focused on resident and migratory bird species across an urban-rural gradient, highlighting for her the resiliency of wildlife, and the importance of high-quality habitat. Alyson's professional career has been enriched by experiences in wildlife research, habitat planning, stormwater management, and community engagement. While working with a local park district in Northeast Ohio she fell in love with education and community engagement as she interpreted and brought to life nature's patterns and nuances. Alyson's role with Pollinator Partnership focuses on creating and delivering P2's Pollinator Steward Certification for Ohioians, helping her community connect with pollinators and learn how they can support wildlife. Outside of this role, Alyson enjoys growing plants, creating herbal teas and tinctures, and helping her community connect deeper with nature.
