Ross grew up on a small family farm in southwest Iowa and has since migrated across the country engaging people and our environment as an outdoor educator, naturalist, outdoor program manager, and public lands manager. Through those experiences Ross earned a master’s degree in Education Leadership and is pursuing a PhD in the Department of Community Sustainability at Michigan State University (MSU). In 2023 Ross participated in MSU’s Organic Farmer Training Program where he had the opportunity to engage with and learn from/with many urban and small-scale farmers across Michigan. Ross is passionate about meeting new people and exploring collaborative relationships and projects that can contribute to community well-being, environmental stewardship/sustainability, and increased access to and investment in our environment. Ross values and appreciates the opportunity to be a part of the Pollinator Partnership team and contribute to this work for people and pollinators.
