Jacob grew up in the mountains of Montana, taking full advantage of the nearby rivers, lakes, trails and forests. Raised in a conservation-minded family, he developed early on a respect and appreciation for the natural world, along with a campsite-mentality of leaving things a little better for the next person. These early lessons have carried him forward in all things. He is a lover and student of systems and their intersections: food, social, ecological, organizational, and political.
Jacob holds a B.A. in English from the University of Montana. Since moving to the Bay Area in 2013, he has held various operations and management roles across multiple sectors. He is excited to bring his experience and skillset to Pollinator Partnership, believing that a strong administrative foundation is critical to advancing P2’s important work.
In his free time, Jacob can be found reading widely across genres, stumbling his way through a new recipe, or spending time in local parks with his senior terrier.
