Maya Carpenter

Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Maya has developed a lifelong love for urban gardens and forests. She received a B.S. in Environmental Policy with a minor in Sustainable Design at UC Berkeley and her studies have inspired her to pursue work in watershed restoration and landscape architecture. She is fascinated by the essential roles that pollinators play in ecosystem resilience. Maya values the unique sense of place that has come from studying ecology and planning in the place where she lives and she is thrilled to bring her enthusiasm for environmental justice and education to her role supporting Pollinator Partnership’s office operations. Outside of work, Maya enjoys cooking, listening to music, and teaching jewelry making classes at a local art studio.
