Jenny Dagnino

Field and Laboratory Associate

jdagnino@pollinator.org

Born and raised in Northern California, Jenny grew up with a deep connection to the outdoors, which naturally led to a career focused on studying and protecting local ecosystems. She earned her B.S. in Geological and Environmental Sciences with a minor in Sustainability from the University of the Pacific, focusing on watershed processes and hydrologic systems. She stayed at UOP to complete her M.S. in Biological Sciences, shifting her focus toward freshwater ecology and researching aquatic macroinvertebrates and community dynamics in the Sierra Nevada.

Her professional background bridges field science with day-to-day project management. She has conducted hands-on surveys for sensitive aquatic communities and special-status California species, led water quality research, and managed scheduling and daily logistics for large technical teams. This mix of field biology, lab work, and coordination fits right in with her role as the Field and Laboratory Associate in the Central Valley with Pollinator Partnership, where she is genuinely thrilled to partner with local growers, combine forces on the ground, and dedicate her energy to protecting the vital pollinators that keep our ecosystems thriving.
