Habitat Hero Plant Kit Awards

Habitat Hero Plant Kit Awards support organizations working to create or enhance pollinator habitat in communities across the Midwest, Great Plains, and Northeast United States. Awards are anticipated to be distributed in Fall 2026.

Designed to make pollinator-friendly gardening accessible and impactful, the Habitat Hero Plant Kits offer a convenient way to establish vibrant habitats in spaces of all sizes, from small urban plots to larger community and backyard projects. Each kit is based on the Native Pollinator Garden Recipe Cards and tailored to specific regions, ensuring that selected plants are well-suited to local ecosystems and growing conditions.

Awards are provided through Pollinator Partnership and the North American Pollinator Protection Campaign (NAPPC) Pollinator Habitat Installation Task Force, a multiorganizational collaborative initiative focused on expanding and improving real-world pollinator habitat. Plants have been generously donated by My Home Park, a direct to consumer native plant company that makes it easy to create pollinator-friendly gardens for a variety of audiences.

Award recipients will receive:

  • Up to 3 Habitat Hero XL Plant Kits
    • Each kit contains 96 plants, enough to cover approximately 100 square feet of land

    • Total possible award: 96, 192, or 288 plants
